Dr. Frumovitz serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee and is a founding supporter of the Coalition. He practices at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and is a professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine, Division of Surgery at the University of Texas. His research and clinical skills are invaluable to this organization and the women we support.
Another founding advisor to the Coalition, is Dr. Kurnit. She practices at The University of Chicago Medicine and serves as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kurnit specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gynecologic malignancies. She has a special interest in rare ovarian cancers, including mucinous ovarian cancer. Dr. Kurnit’s empathic commitment to women facing cancerous conditions makes her an ideal fit for our Advisory Committee.
Dr. Mueller is the newest member of the MOCC Advisory Committee. A surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, she is a passionate advocate for women with gynecologic cancers including mucinous ovarian cancer. We are fortunate to have her expertise and experience as we follow our mission and work toward meeting our goals.
Dr. Pearce is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. An ovarian cancer epidemiologist, she brings a unique research perspective to the Advisory Committee. Her interests lie in determining both the causal factors of ovarian cancers and disease prevention. The MOCC team appreciates her extensive network of ovarian cancer resources.
