Join Us for the MOCC 5K Fundraiser

Did you know MOCC is 100% volunteer driven? We have a core group of people who were family and friends of our late founder, Rhonda. They donate their time and talent to run the organization on a daily basis. And then there are other groups of volunteers who organize fundraisers of which MOCC is the beneficiary. Like our friend, Amanda. As a survivor of mucinous ovarian cancer, this is a fight she knows all too well. That’s why she rounded up some family, friends, and colleagues to organize a 5K to help fund the research and programs of MOCC.

Joining Forces: How You Can Help

Whether you're an avid or amateur runner or someone who has had mucinous ovarian cancer touch your life, there is a place for you in our fundraiser 5K.
Here's how you can get involved:

  • Register to Run:

    Sign up as an individual or gather a team of friends,family, or coworkers. The more runners we have, the louder our message of support will resonate.

  • Host a Virtual Run:

    Can't make it on race day? You can still contribute by hosting your own virtual run/walk and donating the proceeds.

  • Donate:

    By donating directly, you help advance the mission of MOCC. Every dollar raised brings us closer to early detection, better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

  • Spread the Word:

    Share our cause on social media, at your workplace, or among your community.

    From 9-10 am

    5K starts promptly at 10:30 am

  • Packet Pickup:

    •  Friday, September 27th 6-8 PM:
      We encourage packet pickup on       Friday at Flying Pig Provision located at 215 W. Main St. Washington, NC

    • Saturday, September 28th, 9-10 AM: Packet pick up outside of Pitt St by Flying Pig truck
