Q: Can a researcher submit more than one application in a funding cycle?
A: No, only one application per year will be accepted.
Q: Are there required forms to be used for applications or budgets?
A: You may use your institution’s typical forms as long as the abstract/proposal is submitted in PDF format.
Q: Are there any personnel requirements?
A: At least one investigator must have experience in MOC research or in treating women with this disease.
Q: Do you allow overlapping grants?
A: No, unfortunately, we do not. If you are applying for additional grant funding from another organization, please indicate what you would do if you are chosen for both awards.
Q: Can salaries be included in budgets?
A: We will accept salaries for team members who are directly tied to the project, in amounts proportionate to the time dedicated to this work. No funds are available for primary investigator or co-investigator salary replacement.
Q: Are indirect costs allowable?
A: Up to 10% of total costs may be for indirect expenses, excluding travel. Indirect costs should be broken down on the submitted budget.
Q: What if additional time is needed to complete the project?
A: While not preferred, we understand that exceptional circumstances arise and additional time may be required. To that end, investigators can apply for a No-Cost Extension (NCE) of up to six months.
