Scott and Michelle Schwartz are the hard-working owners of SMK Beautification in picturesque northern Michigan. It’s a business they built, pardon the pun, from the ground up.
Scott and Michelle give generously to nonprofit agencies and local community events. When the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition was in the earliest planning stages, Michelle offered her fundraising expertise to come up with creative ways to raise money amidst the challenges created by the COVID-19 crisis.
The couple knows firsthand how difficult a battle with cancer can be. Michelle is a breast cancer survivor, and their daughter lives with chronic myeloid leukemia.
SMK Beautification’s very substantial gift helped MOCC kick-off our Corporate Partners Program less than one month after launch. It also moves us one step closer to funding research on this rare disease.
